There is nothing wrong with Exim, it works very well (many years'
experience with it). Just that Postfix works better.

What is "better"? Far easier to do far more things with: far more
possibilities, far more fine-grained configuration possibilities, far
more possibilities for system tuning, far more possibilities for
individual logging, transports, anti-UCE/UBE.

Bottom line: easier and more effective to use.

The above just to name but a few; there are more ... Once one has found
a given Exim solution, one tends to stick with it and ignore possible
better ones (too much brain power needed, laziness, dependency on
others' solutions). With Postfix one can choose from many alternatives
(Cassius Clay's - as he was then: "fly like a butterfly, sting like a
bee").

The modularity ("Postfix is full of little boxes to stuff things into",
Exim is one great pot to get things out of) must surely be accorded as
the reason that it is a far more effective MTA than Exim. Sorry/"baaie
