Virus still go to internal machine. That is just not true; amavis will deliver anywhere you want it to. Personally, I like to have two postfix instances on my incoming MTAs, postfix.in and postfix.out, arranged as follows: postfix.in -> amavis -> postfix.out The postfix.out instance can then route mail however you need. robert Hummm... ok, i'm not an expert postfix user, but i just tried with the direction given, first, by the f-prot itself with scan-mail, and then with amavisd-new. So, any of this method requires two instances of posftifx?. That was no clear for me. I followed the directions, and it opens a port 10025 where it filters any virus a email can have, but only, if the gateway is the final destination. As soon as i configure the internal machine in the transport file, no virus is removed. By afternoon i'll be again at the server, and will post postconf -n as suggested before.
